Yshemia Purcell-Hunt, born and raised in Bennettsville, South Carolina, I am the daughter of Denise Purcell and John Dupree. I have been doing hair since the age of nine years old starting out in elementary school. Over the years as time went on I taught myself different hairstyles by practicing on friends and family. I knew that doing hair was my passion and that I would be very successful in doing so. As time went on, I began to challenge myself doing styles that were difficult but succeeded in doing them to become better. There was a point in time that I thought doing hair wasn't for me. I began college right after high school at Northeastern Technical College in Cheraw, South Carolina. I received my first degree in Associates in Applied Science in Computer Technology then I went back for another year to receive my Associates in Applied Science in Business. Time was flying by, family and friends encouraged me to go back to doing hair; so I did. I applied at Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology in Florence, South Carolina where I received my Arts in Cosmetology and my cosmetology license. I am very excited about the course and the journey that God is taking me on. This is to keep me encouraged and challenged that I can do all things through him knowing that I will succeed with my business Dazzling Doll Diva's Beauty Salon.
